Suggestions for improvement
- I think that there needs to be some consistency that brought into the position. While working in Residence Life there was always something added to my job description every 4-6 months that I was not prepared for. While we were able to adapt to this. It would have been better to try and make smaller changes one at a time to the system rather then large scale over hauls all the time. It would have allowed employees to better transition through the changes and want to keep returning.
What I like about the company
While working in Residence Life I found myself working as part of a supportive team. From management to my peer employees I found that it was a place that people were willing to offer a helping hand and still placed school and classes above the job that you were being asked to do. As a student I couldn't have asked for a better college job.
What I dislike about the company
Due to that fact that staff was made up of undergrad and graduate students really just starting out in the professional world I would say that there wasn't always the level of professionalism displayed durring meetings and in other staff interactions. However this is to be expected from this population of employees and is something that the company is working on.
