Supervisors rarely treat employees as anything other than shift-fillers there to get work done. Management doesn't trust employees who report unsafe working conditions when customers/public behave in a threatening manner.

Supervisors can be passive-aggressive, aggressive, and hostile in conflict situations. Decisions are not always clear or comprehensible. Employees (non-managers) not involved in decision-making.
