Workers are just part of the machinery in the Hub. Management pretends to carewhen the Union's around, but goes right back to abuseing the workforce when they get the chance. Newly hired workers recive a minimum of training, and rarely make it to permenent Employment, and fewer attain Seniority. Promotions are typically rare, especially for higher paying Union Positions, and many individuals who are primoted to supervisor have less than one year's employment at UPS.
Support from Management
UPS is an Authorization Regime, and the Union lets them get away with violating workers' rights and the Contract. Management sets expectations, that frequently conflict with eachother, and are physically impossible for extant technologies in the Hub. Employees who don't meet expectations get yelled at, harrassed, or even disciplined.
