Company culture

All my comments concern the BLM Casper Field Office (CFO) from March 2012 through March 2013. The CFO is best described by the fact that I filed and won an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) claim against the Department of Interior. This is not the place to work if one is non-caucasian, female, of a certain age, disabled, and/or holds what people in the Field Office view as unacceptable spiritual beliefs (which means nothing other than a few Protestant denominations, Mormon, non-practicing Catholic, atheist, or agnostic). The rating for this and all other feel-good factors should be zero rather than one star. A zero rating is not possible for this survey.

Gender Equality

All my comments concern the BLM Casper Field Office (CFO) from March 2012 through March 2013. The CFO is best described by the fact that I filed and won an EEOC action against the Department of Interior. This is not the place to work if one is non-caucasian, female, of a certain age, disabled, and/or holds what people in the CFO view as unacceptable spiritual beliefs (anything other than a few Protestant denominations, Mormon, non-practicing Catholic, atheist, or agnostic). It is my understanding that very few, if any, changes have occurred following my EEOC case.

With the exception of handicap access, the rating for this and all other career factors should be zero rather than one star. A zero rating is not possible for this survey.

Overall Compensation for your work

If it was possible, the rating would be zero or less for all categories other than compensation. Pervasive discrimination existed. Many individuals in supervisory positions lacked the education and experience necessary to effectively fulfill their jobs and provide proper leadership. In one section, employees tried to sabotage co-workers to get someone fired or obtain a promotion. Management did nothing about an employee who had a history of threatening to physically harm coworkers.

Suggestions for improvement

  • The problems mentioned in my comment need to be resolved.
