Are you a Current or Former Employee? Former job since 2016
This is an employment agency. My assignment ended before the contract due to lay offs. The HR Representative and lead recruiter replied quickly in the beginning if I had questions. Once I informed the HR rep and my assignment manager of my last date, a 60 day notice, they assured me they would find me another assignment. I was in good standing with the client, with a letter of recommendation, before anyone makes conclusions about why US Tech Solutions would not actually match me up with another opportunity. The representative simply answered he would help and not to worry to get off of my radar. On my last day with the client, US Tech Solutions had not found another assignment, yet other employment agencies were wanting to recruit me. There was no answer or accountability as to why. As a contractor, I am looking for the company to match me up with the needs in the market, but there was a complete failure, after numerous polite requests detailing the hardship not being placed would cause. This behavior has tarnished the reputation of this company. The staffing agency then released me from employment officially with no explanation and no fulfillment of matching me with another project.
Suggestions for improvement
- Improve the process by which your contract employees are managed, by ensuring the recruiter/account manager is accountable for transitioning the contractor in a new role, distinguishing to the contractor what barriers exist if that is not happening and work to overcome, or come out and state that no work is available. This, instead of no replies and promising to help, while delivering nothing and leaving a poor impression of the company and its practices. Please conduct reviews more frequently to gauge employee satisfaction while on assignment with the client; you are missing valuable feedback.
