Suggestions for improvement
- Our diverse population is only expanding, and I do not feel that we always have the proper capabilities to manage these patients and families, including refugee families and children escorted by a case/social worker.
What I like about the company
I have met many wonderful coworkers and families in my 9 year career thus far at LVHN. Both of whom I’ve had the please to keep in touch with over the years, be invited to birthday parties, and other activities. It has been a blessing in my life. I appreciate the stable healthcare for myself and my family that I have had over the years, and am grateful for the child care reimbursement program they offer.
What I dislike about the company
Staffing and nurse pay are my two biggest concerns. I do not feel the nursing staff is paid appropriately for the work and responsibilities we handle day in and day out, and it seems the overall job requirements are becoming greater and greater with minimal to no additional pay increases to compensate us for the extra work requirements. I think we should be paid comparable to a big city hospital since we offer the same care and continue to expand our services and knowledge. Staffing could be much improved as well, as it seems most places are not properly staffed for the workload.
