Support from management
Upper Management only pass down orders from HO, offer no support to store management, praise only their own decisions, even if they are bad ones.
Suggestions for improvement
- More support for employees on the frontlines. A fair promotion plan, giving women and people of color an equal chance to advance with white males. An increase in payroll budget in the stores, in order to aid the stores to provide proper service to customers.
What I like about the company
A decade ago, it was a very supportive and growing company. In the present economic atmosphere, this no longer exists.
What I dislike about the company
No weekend support from HO for a company open on weekends. They hire from without, rather than promote from within. Still very much an "old boys club." Many sexist and racist individuals in upper management. They've cut to the bone in payroll budgeting, causing severe understaffing in stores, and poor customer service,due to lack of sufficient staff in the building. This also leads to an increase in shoplifting, as theives notice no employees on the floor to prevent it.
