The partners are greedy and expect way too much without giving in return. 7 years no raise but kept adding on the responsibilities. Huge turnaround there too. When they opened in 2001 the staff who started with them are all gone. There are no originals there.
Support from management
Management was the problem.
Again Non existent. There’s no “I” in team but I was the team.
Freedom to work independently
Micromanaging at its best
Non existent. You had a problem you went to to the OM who wasn’t allowed to resolve anything without speaking to partners. They used their OM as a scapegoat
Overall compensation for your work
While the pay was decent for SI no raises and the benefits were horrible too. They offered medical at a huge cost to you and a big deductible too. But again partners didn’t care bc they were covered under their wife’s insurance. So they didn’t ahopnaround much for good coverage
Office / Work Environment
Hostile at best.
If the partners need something they will be very friendly. That actually goes for most of the attorneys there. They won’t even look at you or say good morning unless they need you to do something.
You have a life outside of work? Good luck with that. These people expect you to sit around waiting for them.
That’s one good thing about this place if your a slacker you should definitely apply. Took one slacker 10 years to get fired but they finally took the plunge. When I say slacker she was never at her desk if she actually showed to work she was outside smoking. Went beyond PTO off days annually by no less than 20 days.
Inclusive / Diverse
Not even a little
Suggestions for improvement
- Close the firm. The partners there do not know how to manage people.
