Lack of any cohesion between management and the staff. Management will through you under the bus in a heart beat. It is clearly known no one has your back and you have to deal with any and every issue pretty much on your own.
Support from management
There is none.
There is none.
Freedom to work independently
There is none. Welcome to micromanagement 101. You will constantly have to deal with red tape and roadblocks.
Lack of any communication between management and the staff. Most management has a very elitist attitude towards subordinates.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Once you leave you are spoken bad about and told you were a bad employee. Especially if you move on to a better opportunity.
None. You are told from the beginning there is no raises or promotions.
Overall compensation for your work
The lowest paying company in the industry.
Office / Work Environment
Dirty, unsanitary and most of the technology is broken or outdated.
There is none. If you are not a manager you will be asked to pick up the slack while everyone above you pushes everything off their plate on to yours, takes vacations and gets nothing done.
They have a terrible name for themselves and have had many pieces of bad press written about them.
None. You feel like you could lose your job every day. As a teacher, you never know from semester to semester what you will teach and you dont find out until the day before if you are working anymore.
They recently cut campus security completely to save money. There is no protection from students fighting or an active shooter scenario on campus.
The challenge comes from the lack of support and resources.
