I worked in two different locations when I worked at Verizon Wireless. It took the store manager (in my first store location after training) 5 months to actually sit down with me to discuss what is expected. I was told on my first day to follow this sales person and watch what they do. Every sales person have a monthly quota they must reach or risk not get a commission check (about 95% of your salary). The quota includes consumer, business, and accessory sales. The consumer sales is very easy once you have a good understanding of the devices you sell. Which you have to figure out on your on because they is no company training on the devices. So if you get hired! play with everything in the store. Business sales can be more challenging. This is where I had issues with this and the other store manager. No guidance or support toward getting started with a business owner, but it is a requirement within your quota you must meet every month!
