Suggestions for improvement
- Allow the staff that interacts with the students on a daily basis to be the focal point of contact for them when they seek help from those individuals that can relate the them. Don't make the employee feel like what they are doing is not always a good thing. Culture goes a long way when you come from the same place as someone else does and they can identify with you and feel a sense of encouragement and belonging.
What I like about the company
It was very rewarding to assist students on a daily basis and to see them progress through the program while dealing with every day challenges. It was a humbling experience to know that they valued me as a person they could confide in & to know that I was genuinely concerned for them. I took great pride in knowing that I was able to help change someone's life just by giving them a listening ear or shoulder to cry on.
What I dislike about the company
What I did not like was the employer did not allow some of the employees to make some of the changes that would make a definite impact for both the company and student population.
