Support from management
This category isn't even worthy of ONE star - it should have ZERO. You will NEVER receive support from management. They are there to make money for the company and do not care about which employees they have to mistreat in order to do so. The majority of management has their positions because of longevity with the company, NOT because they are qualified or because they are good at managing others.
I was denied transferring to a different department, TWICE. You have to receive permission from your acting supervisor to apply for another department and because I was good at the job I currently held, she found a way to keep me in that position. I was qualified and even told by numerous co-workers how well I would have done in the other departments, but was never able to advance or enhance my career until I left the company.
Overall compensation for your work
This company pays significantly lower than both local and national averages, no matter how much experience you have - they will find a way to "justify" how little they are paying you. Also, no matter how often you go above and beyond your job responsibilities or how well you handle extra tasks placed upon your desk, you will NOT ever receive a bonus for your hard work. You are lucky to get a 25 cent raise, ONCE A YEAR, when evaluations are done.
Office / Work Environment
Unless you are lucky enough to have a few co-workers that you enjoy being around, you will be miserable walking into work every single day.
The supervisors and managers simply do not care about your personal life. Your children, your spouse, your obligations outside of work (doctor's appointments) do NOT matter in any way, shape or form.
I was told numerous times by my supervisor when I had questions about something or when we disagreed that "if I didn't like it here, LEAVE! you are replaceable!" - again that was directly from my supervisor's mouth - most of the current supervisors do not care about their employees what so ever.
Suggestions for improvement
- The company needs to replace ALL of upper management. Nothing will ever significantly change with how employees are treated until each and every one of those individuals are gone. They are all corrupt and cover for each other.
What I like about the company
Some of the doctors truly are wonderful people and amazing physician's.
