Supportive as long as you are making progress but they don't hesitate to cut you loose if It looks like you are floundering.
Support from management
I had the good fortune of having a great regional guy in the Boston area who was very suppotive
The group I came out of training with bonded closely. The Boston area group was an exceptional collection of individuals.
Freedom to work independently
You are on your own as a Chair to build your group. Some elementary level support but it is up to you alone which is both good and bad.
Perhaps too much
Yes - very equal in their approach to Chair candidates
Attitude towards older colleagues
Age is not and issue and sometimes and advantage
Overall compensation for your work
Office / Work Environment
Up to you
It is a tougher role than they lead you to believe which is why they recruit so actively.
All on you to make it go or not
Very - maybe the most challenging task I have taken on ever. it is not for the faint of heart.
Inclusive / Diverse
Suggestions for improvement
- More visibility within the target market group. Recruit and train fewer people and take the money and do some marketing.
What I like about the company
Great group of very smart people. The experience of being a Chair candidate forces you to grow in so many ways. They have a terrific mission.
What I dislike about the company
The work of puling together a group is far more difficult to achieve than they lead you to believe which is why they go through so many Chair candidates. It is a churn and burn model. Recruit lots of people and hope a small percentage are successful.
