Support from management
No real leadership, or direction. You were relied on to fix and repair problems that you were not trained on. Management responds sarcastically when asked questions to better yourself.
Teammates worked together to not get fired, built on a culture of fear.
Some instances of people being made fun of because of ethnicity.
Not interested in accelerating people. They have a set group and only want people at a certain level for extended periods.
Office / Work Environment
Not given safety gear, had to pay for our own equipment and job requires to be on high roofs in very high radio frequencies.
Everyone is replaceable at any given moment, no matter how hard they try. They make you sign a contract upon employment that enables you to get let go at anytime without legal repercussions.
Most safety equipment not given, need proof? Watch the tv show undercover boss in which the boss admits that he doesn't supply safety shoes. Yearly tower and roof personnel are seriously injured or killed. During snow or slick weather you are still required to get the job done.
Suggestions for improvement
- Stick with security systems, with the new technology coming out and Internet companies such as AT&T, Time warner, and google fiber, the competition will make yours obsolete.
What I like about the company
What I dislike about the company
It's a start up company that's technology will be insignificant soon. They are promising people a future in a company that will fail based in their technology. They started out as a door to door pest control company, and now are selling their Internet technology door to door. They have gone bankrupt, they are not a publicly traded company. What could go wrong? Sarcasm.
