Company Culture

Prior to going public it was a place focused on the employee. It was a place like no other i had worked. After going public and especially after merger with Cision it became more and more like a scene from the movie Brazil

Support from management

See above

Teamwork

We were always a good team no matter how dysfunctional the culture got

Freedom to work independently

We had a lot of discretion in how to approach our work

Company Culture

In its prime, the company was home as well as work, in a good way. The CEO had the right feelers out there to guide the social avenues correctly.

Support from management

In general, management was proactive and long viewed in approach. Some departments, not so much.

Freedom to work independently

Not a negative, just not generally part of the culture. More team focused.

Career Development

Management was the only real route for progression.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Learn how to run a business as a honorable human being.

Support from management

Weekly team meetings that were meant to coach and guide, but did not help each individual to their own specific needs

Freedom to work independently

You were free to pursue what you wanted to and had to make your own schedule once you were at work

Career Development

Simple stepping-stone in gaining experience shortly out of college

Overall compensation for your work

Decent compensation for what you sold. Had base + commission.
