Overall compensation for your work
I was not given a raise for the first 4 years I worked there. When i *was* given a raise, according to every industry norm review I could find, I went from "critically underpaid" to simply "underpaid"
I do not know a single former employee of this company with good things to say, nor any current employees who are happy.
No one wants to work there, so you have to really screw up for them to fire you!
Suggestions for improvement
- Go out of business. Failing that, totally restructure the management so that an entirely new set of people are making key decisions.
What I like about the company
That I got a paycheck from them.
What I dislike about the company
Just about everything. They don't listen to nor adequately compensate employees. Your promotional prospects are directly related to how well you brown-nose the right people and have nothing to do with merit. Employee satisfaction is not a consideration in ANY corporate policies.
