Suggestions for improvement
- One of the items already in the works is childcare. I hope this is implemented because it would help with new/expectant mothers. As women in the IS/IT department, we are expected to do an incredible amount of work(often multiple roles), have children, run a home, and take care of said children with no help from spouses or leeway from work. Having an option to bring your infant/toddler to work would improve quality of life for working moms. This is coming from someone who isn't a mom yet, but is expected to do it all.
What I like about the company
I always feel that I can go to upper management with ideas of how to better our environment or processes. We have a very open relationship and that is something I enjoy. For the most part all teams in the IT/IS departments are kept in the loop on ongoing projects and common goals. This is something new to me because at my previous company it was a free for all. At Washington Regional it feels more like a team environment and we are all there to support our patients care.
What I dislike about the company
There isn't anything I disapprove of. Leadership is doing a great job and I always feel valued.
