There was a lot of communication but it was all ignored by managers. They ruled as a dictator.

Company Culture

Managers do not give praise to good deeds, rather tries to encourage lazy unknowledgeable, employees with raises, but the hard working people are treated like mindless robots

Support from management

Management does not support new ideas or processes, yet encourages new ideas to be thought of. Not one idea was ever used unless employees did it themselves without support.

Teamwork

This is a 50/50. There are those willing to try new things and make it work while others especially managers want to stick with what had been done unsuccessfully, or required to change due to new laws, rules, and technology.

Freedom to work independently

Managers want automation, while at same time doesn't like any internal programs written by employees, but also don't want to pay for software to automate processes.

Internal Communication

Managers require you to communicate with them, however it's s one way communication. Getting the tools you need to do the job is like driving a plane on the bottom of the ocean without drowning

Gender Equality

A new position was open and I applied. Was told they wanted to hire someone new. I replied they still can when they replace me in my old position. Well they didn't like that at all.

Attitude towards older colleagues

There is some respect just not related to the job itself.

Career Development

None, zippo, nada Best bet is to quit and get a new job

Overall compensation for your work

Dental and medical excellent, retirement not do good. Found out after 14 years only had 10,000 in retirement which put me on track after 30 years to have 1,000 a month payment. Can't live off that.

Company Image

Some do. The ones that get raises and promotion. The hard working people that fight everyday just to do their job, nope

Job Security

There has been s lot of layoffs throughout the years. Luckily I was able to quit, but I did have job security.

Handicapped Accessibility

Yes

Workplace Safety

I brought up a few safety concerns in safety meetings and they were all ignored. Then an accident happened and I re mentioned safety concerns which was ignored. Quit safety team as it was a waste of time

Suggestions for improvement

  • Listen to employees. Understand IT cannot do everything and know everything in specialized jobs. Give required tools and training without questions. Let employees do their job.

What I like about the company

The only I liked was I was the only one that could do what I did. So I learned all I could before quitting

What I dislike about the company

No support. Not having all tools needed. Having to fight everyday just to do the job I was paid to do, yet would get in trouble when j didn't.
