Support from management
Upper management often didn't care if things were being run properly and refused to commit resources to basic needs like maintenance - for instance, they build huge new buildings every year but also expect facilities costs to go down every year...somehow.
The people I worked with directly were great, upper management sometimes made things more difficult.
Freedom to work independently
I worked in multiple areas of campus every day and enjoyed being able to travel the campus and meet lots of new people.
