Don't trust a 4 point approval
Support from management
The only support you get from management is if your numbers look good and the only way to get your numbers to look good is to cheat the system.
I give it a too because my co-workers and I got along fine and we would be willing to help each other out but we couldn't really do that because that again affected our numbers and which case quality sucked and we couldn't even barely get coaching or get answers to our questions when we needed it.
Freedom to work independently
Twice a month coaching and told that numbers weren't that great so the customer service suffered and occasionally you would have periods of working on your own but there was usually always something coming up or changing that you were finding out later about the wasn't passed on by your manager.
The internal conversation is great if you are being coached and downgraded and told that you're not meeting your numbers in which case quality often suffers and they wonder why customers are upset.
Yeah they hire as many men as they do women and what other choice do they have it's one or the other.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I don't think older colleagues are treated any differently than the younger colleagues or any colleague for that matter we're all just a number.
Some of the managers will take every opportunity to paint you into a corner because if you're on any kind of a write-up then you can't apply for another position in the company plus I happen to know that they will sabotage you and not let you go if they feel that they still need you they can call people and tell him that they need you for more than your two weeks notice I see people being taken advantage of and I've seen people get screwed trying to move on & change departments.
Overall compensation for your work
Lousy pay for the work & make you feel like your 2% raise was hard fought for and they really went to the mat when they were discussing it with their boss. Like a lot of jobs people quit people leave they don't fill the positions but everyone that's left behind has to pick up the slack and they don't get any compensation for it and no shift differential.
Office / Work Environment
the work environment was great when are managers were off because we could still do our job and get it done and not have to feel like we were being watched and listened to and talked about by our own managers. Causing stress and frustration.
The golf tournament is great as far as the environmental effect lot of customers like to recycle we recycle somewhat there still Slack.
When it comes to the five major holidays most people recognize they would still make somebody work which is bologna.
I can only speak for myself a lot of co-workers and the customers that I've spoken to and for the price they pay they feel like they don't get the service that they deserve. The employees only get recognized when their numbers are really great doesn't seem to be much concern for the quality that's secondary
Depending especially on your manager and how picky they are they nitpick and write you up for things than they can let you go otherwise attendance will get you fired. Like a lot of other companies nowadays though there is really no such thing as security.
They installed all the push buttons to open the doors automatically and then the restrooms extra-wide stalls I imagine that's just required by law.
Safety in the call center seem to be just fine.
The reason the work is challenging is usually due to system problems in which case you still get dinged for your numbers versus your quality and there's always some application that's having a problem and again the numbers can be fudged and the managers don't know enough about the system to even understand what's going on so they're no help either.
Inclusive / Diverse
There was a lot of diversity there and a lot of nice coworkers the management might have been nicer to if they weren't under the gun for deadlines themselves and trying to make numbers look good for people that were higher up on the food chain that weren't there for the day-to-day operations and didn't know what was going on.
What I like about the company
When I started with the company I had good pay and benefits which is great but I later learned that people were able to fudge the system and therefore make their numbers look better and quality suffered which goes against my principles I've seen good people be kicked to the curb and screwed over and I've seen those very same people who work the system get ahead and are recognized
I don't miss working for them and it's really unfortunate that it's taken them this long to go so far down to even try and turn things around.
What I dislike about the company
I dislike the double speak or the double standards and the things that they will tell you in public as far as wanting quality and helping the customers but then when you have coaching it's all about the numbers so there is some double standards there is favoritism and it's always business needs first so if you put in for time off sometimes it's hard to get that approved even if it's something important and you need to take time off they will still write you up and give you an occurrence. Getting a work accommodation is tedious they have to have everything documented and review it every 6 months whether or not you still need the Lyft desk and when you're sitting at a desk all day and you can't walk away it shouldn't be a question of whether or not you need to be able to stand while you're working. Every minute you're not on the phone you're. For so if you can't stand and work and you need to walk away and get up from your chair then that can cost you.
