Suggestions for improvement
- Why bother corporate wouldn't listen anyhow...unless it's a cost saving project, in which case they'll listen; tell you it's not feasible, wait till next quarter, then pass it off as their idea!
I like about the employer
Most of the people I work with are exceptional. Good insurance (for now) Still get bonus checks...not what they used to be though.
I dislike about the employer
20 years ago hourly received 3 yearly bonus checks; two of them were about the size of a regular paycheck. The third was the "Christmas bonus" it was 3-4 times the size of a regular paycheck. That has eroded into one check divided into spring and fall (which doesn't come close to equaling the "Christmas" of old)
The work/life balance is horrible! The normal work schedule is 12 days on 2 days off = Zero family time! (Fine for single people)
If you give a notice and have earned vacation time left you will be pro-rated. Even though your vacation time was earned during the previous year!
Waupaca is on it's 4th owner and, each time it gets sold somebody takes a chunk of our benefits...
