Before Wayfair went public it was the best place in the world to work.
Departments are disconnected. Management no longer listens to employees. Department Heads are too over worked to put out quality work. For 4 years they have had discontined fabrics listed on their products. Want to buy a sofa set? The fabric you want for both pieces may not be listed on both items. Manufacture will make it for them but the wayfair department heads will not let employees add missing fabrics. Nor will they put correct and accurate info on the site. The company has gone way down hill. Get a bonus based on sales but hard to earn because of the wrong info. Oh and not to mention all the lost shipping items!
I have met so many amazing people through this company and have learned so much from other people's experiences. The company itself has always supported a take-initiative type of attitude, which is why it's so successful. I haven't had any issues communicating with people within and outside of my department.
I think sometimes there is too much of a laid back environment because a lot of the employees are on the younger side. This can be great for breaking up monotony in the workplace but can also be really distracting when they don't know what line to draw in terms of professionalism. I also think personally, there aren't as many opportunities for professional growth as I would like but hope that this changes soon.
