Why anyone in that is not desperate for employment should avoid working here.
It's eat or be eating.
Support from management
Most expectations that the colleagues where unreasonable and unachievable.
It depends on who you're working with and how much you wanted to get thr job done quickly.
Freedom to work independently
It depended on the department you where in. Most often then not, there was trust in the competency in the colleagues abuility to work independently.
The colleagues and some managers where almost the last to know anything of any important.
It depended if you where hourly or salary or how much you kiss up to some managers. There where few opportunies for an hourly to move up to salary. If you has certain college degrees, had a positiive reputation, or the yes person, maybe you could move up.
Overall compensation for your work
No. The is no amount of money they could give me will pay me back for the pain they put me though.
Office / Work Environment
Only what was legally mandated or as a response to a pattern of incidences would have had to occurred.
This was one of a few things that everyone could do without any problems.
Not really, if it was not mandated by law, it was not done. Somethings their would try to skirt around the law if possible.
As a colleague, they can terminate you for ether a accusation of wrong doing or no fault of your own. If you where salary, you would have to screw up really badly to ether be bump down to hourly or terminate.
Most of the time, yes.
Yes and no. It depended on what you were doing. Some stations were easy. But more often you would get a difficult station and to run it quicker then it was meant to run. As for training someone else to run it, you are giving less the two hours to teach that person everything and get them to run it a rate.
Inclusive / Diverse
Yes and no. Diversity on colleagues was encouraged. Diversity in ideas, most of the time it was no encouraged.
Suggestions for improvement
- Don't make promises to you customers they can never keep.
- Try the fix the quality problems the colleagues and customers are constantly complaining about.
What I like about the company
They paid mostly me.
What I dislike about the company
They perpetuate an environment conplacency to the point of there detriment. The colleagues are supposed to remain silent and dumb. They are willing to send there customers defective products so they can full the customers weekly order. That is just the tip of the iceberg of the things that I and others (counting there customers) doesn't like a Webasto. I have no idea why they are still in business.
