Company Culture

Gossip and rumors exist on both floors. A lot of childish behaviors.

Teamwork

Jealousy in some groups instead of teams working together

Glass ceiling.

Overall compensation for your work

Paralegals and legal assistants are capped. No bonuses.

Office / Work Environment

Poor. Long term employees with bad attitudes bring down others. Group of gossip girls exist unfortuneatly and intimidate others. No hr bc they just side with long term employees. Worst than high school.

Environmental Friendliness

Fake staff. Some attorneys are nice.

Work-Life Balance

Too much stress

Known for treating staff unfairly. Some older good partners but known for hiring A lot of 30 something attorneys with big egos and poor quality work.

Job Security

If someone doesn't like you for any reason you are screwed.

Challenging Work

Entry level for staff. No incentives.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Hire mature staff. Keep people who are leaders.

What I like about the company

A group of attorneys and staff just left, so the environment is better without them. They were immature and known for their gossip. Many of us are happy they left.

What I dislike about the company

HR. Certain attorneys who are mediocre and all they do is talk about people and staff. Grow up and focus on your work.

Company Culture

The administration is more interested in manipulating employees to fit HR's idea of the perfect employee than allowing people to be themselves. They lie about allowing employees to use their paralegal skills if they were hired as Legal Assistants. They cap off what employees can earn and don't tell them so their time there is limited with no room for growth. If all this is okay with you, by all means take the job.
