You can get pigeon holed with some roles. Be prepared to leave if you have no success in moving up. I was told that if you have ambition it is not hard to move up. Not exactly true. Management does a poor job of developing its employees.
Wells is dealing with an image problem. Reputational risk is managements focus. Hyper sensitivity to any issue that may appear to be negative to the public.
