Office / Work Environment

The partners (Wentz and Zavarelli are actually husband and wife) are unashamedly rude, confrontational, and degrading to their employees.

What I dislike about the company

I believe others seeking employment at Wentz & Zavarelli should be aware of my experience (and the experiences that others have posted) about this firm. Be cautious accepting a position of employment with these folks. You will quickly grow to regret it. Benefits are practically worthless; and compensation starts low and stays low. The partners' expectations are unreasonably high despite the low pay. To my knowledge, no employee has left this firm on good terms. I would advise anyone looking to work here to continue looking elsewhere.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Accept that employees are not children for you to yell at, motion at, glare at, etc. and attitude that you give your employees checks. They earn them! Respect is what adults do.

What I like about the company

That I learned I truly bad a workplace can be and the toll it takes on every aspect of your life. I now greatly appreciate my new employer having experienced Wentz & Zavarelli

What I dislike about the company

Being yelled at in my face like a child, not being allowed to speak with coworkers without being glared at, no food or snacks at your desk, not allowed to have your cell phone visible or sound on, to have your desk drawers inspected, no microwave, weekly conferences about being terrible employees, stories about the million dollar home while you can't even bring your ramen noodles for lunch because no microwave. Seriously I could go on for pages. People didn't even believe half of the things I told them happened because no place could be so insane. Oh your bathroom breaks are timed. No direct deposit. On multiple occasions my bills were late bc they just didn't get around to writing your check until 5:00 pm leaving not enough time for you to even drive and deposit it on payday
