No open or private commendations. There is little trust offered between any workers.

Conflict is direct confrontation up to and including name-calling. Targets/goals would be realistic in a less hostile environment. Decisions typically only make sense to the owner and employees with excellent work history in the field are cut right out of the process.
The company culture is competitive up to verbally abusive. Teamwork only occurs at odd hours.
