Support from management
This depends upon the managers and group heads. But for the groups I have worked in , team spirit is excellent. Everyone knows what they are doing. your manager knows what you are doing. and for the most part everyone knows what others are doing and how it effects your work. Also, you will have a clear understanding of how your work effects end customer.
Freedom to work independently
Depends on managers and team structures. But for the 9 years I have worked here, I always had freedom to work independently as long as we prove results.
Communication from corporate and HR are perfect. They can't get better. Internal communication within teams depend on managers and some may be not as good.
Depends on roles. Some roles have to prioritize work more than personal life. After all it is competitive business. Unfortunately, most of my roles were critical and work life balance has to be little less than 5 stars.
Suggestions for improvement
- No suggestions for improvement. I am not sure if it can get any better.. No company is perfect but western union should be on the top of the list.
What I like about the company
Good Pay. Transparent and trust worthy company. Nice culture . Good ethics. No politics ( or very minimum and isolated to few teams ).
What I dislike about the company
Frequent changes in the organization structure at the top level.
