Company Culture

My teammates were usually good, but the company as a whole had many flaws. The company does not care about its employees at all.

Support from management

My teammates were usually good, but the company as a whole had many flaws. The company does not care about its employees at all.

Teamwork

I guess that did that. I did not see very much of it first hand.

Freedom to work independently

There was a lot of micromanaging at my company. People were always reporting things and watching over employees very carefully.

Internal Communication

The company I worked for did not care about its employees. There was a hierarchy and the doctors were always right. No matter the situation.

Gender Equality

I never saw any discrimination based on sex.

Attitude towards older colleagues

I never saw and age discrimination. Many older nurses worked there.

Career Development

Learned a lot at my last job.

Overall compensation for your work

Never earned fair raises. Did not get paid enough for the stress.

Office / Work Environment

Basically worked in a basement.

Environmental Friendliness

Recycle bins were far away so no one wanted to walk their recyclables that far.

Work-Life Balance

The hours I had to work were not bad. Some people only had to work 3 days a week.

Company Image

No present employer.

Job Security

It was at my last job. No fear of losing my position.

Handicapped Accessibility

It's a Hospital so they much have these facilities.

Workplace Safety

We were all trained pretty well.

Challenging Work

It was not too challenging. The actual concept of the job was easy, but others made it very stressful and difficult to complete my job.

Inclusive / Diverse

I think we had seminars and stuff about this. Talked about it in orientation.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Higher wages and raises more often with a higher amount being given to employees.

What I like about the company

I worked with many great people at this company. Many people worked hard and worked well with me. It also looks good on a resume to say that you worked at a hospital. Besides the other employees I worked with, I do not have anything positive to say.

What I dislike about the company

They should stop micromanaging their employees. Give their employees higher wages and raises more often. Stop with the favoritism.

What I like about the company

All of the employees I have worked with are friendly and driven. Employees work together as a team to provide the best healthcare experience for the patient and their families. There is also a lot of opportunity for growth both in your career and personably.

What I dislike about the company

It is difficult to find something to disapprove of.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Workout facilities. They would be a great addition to the hospital and help residents especially balance work life and home life.

What I like about the company

The people in charge of my department set aside time to discuss any issues we are having in the workplace. A culture of openness and honesty is encouraged. There are few higher level employees that treat those under them poorly. The organization as a whole has many programs in place to help employees if they need it, through wellness and health groups and many services on-site. The hours are long and hard, but colleagues and higher-ups take care of everyone.

What I dislike about the company

It is a large company so any specific changes that are put forward take a long time to put into motion. One specific thing that Beaumont should have is an on-site workout facility. It is a large hospital and could afford to do this based on space and money, but there is none. This would greatly improve worker health and wellness, in term of physical and emotional health, as well as improving work/life balance
