Suggestions for improvement
- The firm needs to get rid of the abusive managers and HR managers. The toxic environment cannot change when Management is well aware of the abuse and does nothing about it. The firm needs to value its employees, especially those who have been with the firm for 10, 20, 30 years…but there is always the fear of being fired because the firm is constantly downsizing.
What I like about the company
The location is wonderful, across the street from Grand Central Station. Every once in a while, there is an e-mail informing everyone that denim may be worn on one particular day. The office closes at 2:00 p.m. the day before a major holiday (such as Christmas) and offers a pizza lunch on that day. The office rarely closes for snowstorms, so if you come in during a snowstorm, you will be rewarded with bagels or donuts.
