Office is a casual culture.
Support from management
Support on needed project typically opposed by senior management unless it produced immediate return.
Colleagues generally worked very well together but leadership frowned on it as they believed it reduced productivity.
Freedom to work independently
Generally you are left to work unless an issue had arose or if you were suspected of issues.
Very little information is dispersed within this company
Yes there is gender equality.
Attitude towards older colleagues
There is no weight put on age.
Training is really not supported here
Overall compensation for your work
No, company works very hard to get as much as they can for as little as possible, including posting positions that turn out to have significantly more responsibilities then talked about in interviews.
Office / Work Environment
Environment isn't bad but has a strong good old boys network in place and a lot of family employed
Eco consciousness was never brought up during employment
It was demanded to put in as many hours as necessary to complete projects with little to no lead time with no regard to family life.
It started out that way but soon changed as employees are not really valued and that they can be easily replaced.
No, at least the IT departmentions is not stable. There has been consistent restructuring and leadership has no experience with the IT field. This company continues to work at completely outsourcing certain departments without trying to understand consequences to the business.
Office has significant limitations for the handicapped.
Safety is considered only after production and quality.
Company had the need to complete very complex projects and problems
Inclusive / Diverse
This office space is not diverse, the manufacturing plant is though.
Suggestions for improvement
- A true IT director needs to hired to help the company understand its needs and employees should be valued.
What I like about the company
The work challenges made for great use of my ability and experience
What I dislike about the company
Company does not understand the IT field but is extremely IT dependant so everything became a struggle and cost is the only deciding factor.
