- Wood Group (Houston, TX / United States)07.Jun 2018
Company is only interested in higher ups and those who know the higher ups and caters to those employees and not everyone.
Support from management
This was the worst. The managers only care about themselves and those connected to them.
Teamwork was good if there was big money involved. Otherwise, it was fairly normal.
Many times, processes changed and no one from the home office would notify the satellite companies until is was too late and everyone had to get on board fast.
The women in this company are looked at as sub par and get the worst raises.
Overall compensation for your work
Wood Group fires people for no reason, especially top managers. Just walk you out. Many have experienced this and they are known for this in industry.
Only if the client makes them.
This was great but it was only because the parent company allowed it. It wasn’t anything Wood Group decided.
Not good. Many companies don’t like them but they have to work with them due to the contracts in place.
Not good at all. You could be gone from one day to the next.
Suggestions for improvement
- Wood Group needs to refocus back on what makes companies thrive and that is people and all people.
What I like about the company
Not much. We were bought out so we had to change over to Wood Group but if we had a choice, we would have all stayed with the company we had before.
What I dislike about the company
Management is horrible and HR is worse. Reported issues don’t get resolved and they lie to the employees all the time.
