Suggestions for improvement
- Better training programs, don't leave it all up to the employee. Better communication in writing about company policies. Better pay based on the national average - just because employees work from home doesn't mean then deserve less pay.
What I like about the company
Every employee works from home.
What I dislike about the company
Lower echelon employees who deal directly with customers (telephone, chat, tickets) were not given a "real" lunch period. The company's stance was that you work from home so you only need and get 15 minutes of paid time for lunch. I would have rather had an unpaid 30 minute lunch than a paid 15 minute lunch so that I could decompress from dealing with angry and upset customers.
Not all of the companies policies are in writting. For example, if you needed time off less than 2 hours employees could make this time up during the work week - however this policy was never posted anywhere, so alot of employess ended up wasting their PTO/vacation.
