avoid if possible
Supervisor looked out for himself at cost of others. Many management were the same.
Support from management
Racism to non Indian. Will not accept advice or common sense corrective action because they believe they are always right o matter how bad things get.
Lower level teamwork yes. Going up the chain or having chain involvement destroys it.
Freedom to work independently
Started rough, but the workers tried to be fair.
Lack of communications.
Not so much sexist as racist.
Attitude towards older colleagues
There are long term employees who have it good with the owner. They started the company and have rare skills.
Not sure if I stepped forward or backwards. Debatable.
Overall compensation for your work
Pay was low, but overtime made up for some even though we had no life.
Office / Work Environment
Filthy, poor housekeeping from neighbors work areas.
Did enough to avoid repercussions.
Last minute notice was the norm. Worked lots of hours to satisfy backlogs. Workers rescheduled to work during company party they paid to attend at short notice.
Everyone stuck there is looking for something better except for the first employees and management.
They need people, but work gets slow a d hours are cut.
Some places, but limited. Not a good place to work for those with needs.
A lot of avoidable accidents happen. I was lucky, but there were more close calls than I was comfortable with.
Satisfied, but there were better ways to accomplish tasks.
Inclusive / Diverse
Not really unless you are related to the owner.
Suggestions for improvement
- Reduce favortism and make certain everyone is qualified for the jobs they hold. Listen and apply the good advice of common sense workers.
