Company Culture

Only company I ever worked for that I felt the works cared more for the company performance than the management did.

Support from management

There is very little leadership. You will feel alone...The only company I ever worked for the I felt the client liked me more than my own office management.

Teamwork

Immediate teams work well. Management is in direct opposition and will make your daily work very difficult.

Freedom to work independently

Management will assign projects without being aware of their own employees strengths.

Internal Communication

Do not want to provide a low rating without justification. Ex. Our manger turned in our notice. No one from upper management ever told us who our supervisor would be. We all learned through rumors.

Gender Equality

There were very few women who worked in our office.

Attitude towards older colleagues

There were very few people who were employees for longer than 10 years.

Career Development

Very few training opportunities. This is a trial by fire type of company.

Overall compensation for your work

The pay was fair. However vacation time was often requested to be taken when work slowed down. That is if you wanted to keep a job.

Office / Work Environment

Equipment and software was never identified until a job was handed to the designer. At that point. Time that would be spent working on the project was spent trying to get access to do a job.

Work-Life Balance

Many times it was made clear we should work without pay because our jobs could be in jeopardy.

Company Image

When i started working for WorleyParsons in 2007, the company had a good image. By 2009 it had gone down.

Job Security

You WILL be laid off often.

Workplace Safety

This company will preach safety, but will not follow what they preach.

Challenging Work

I was always proud of the work I completed because I took pride in my work.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Care more about the people (workers) that allow upper management to grow their careers on the backs of real technical specialist.

What I like about the company

The pay is the only incentive.

What I dislike about the company

How often layoffs occur.
