Support from management
I received an Associates Degree in Instrumentation and my supervisor stated and I quote " A degree don't mean anything ". Very non-supportive environment.
Great employees to work with, but poor management.
Freedom to work independently
Very poor communication from management to employees, never have correct materials to complete jobs.
Women are treated better than the men, but all of the Supervisors are men at the Freeport Tx. office.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Supervisors make jokes about the older men and ask them when they are going to retire.
I received an Associates Degree in related field and thought it would better my situation but it didn't. Supervisor stated that a Degree doesn't matter, its just a piece of paper.
Overall compensation for your work

No stability with Yokogawa. I have seen three employees layed off in one day. Raises are far and few in between. No raise in two years.
No ramps at all. A handicapped person in a wheel chair couldn't even get into the building.

The work is not challenging, very repetitive.
