Very poor company culture. If you like the para-military style of business, then you will be ok. But be prepared to get yelled at for stuff you didn't do.
Support from management
Every supervisor tells you something different. There is no uniformity with the rules
Some co-workers you will work well together, some you will not, there is a lot of "type A" personalities and not all of them play well with others. A big portion of the staff will steal your food stuff, so if you don't want to share, don't bring it.
Freedom to work independently
If everyone followed the team structure and there was enough staff, work would be evenly distributed, but for the most part it is not.
There are daily Briefings, but not all the same info is presented to each shift
"Good old boy" recognition. Doesnt matter how hard you work.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Little to no appreciation for staff, irregardless of tenure
Little to no advancement opportunities
Overall compensation for your work
You will always get your 40 hours a week. Medical, dental, vision, and retirement systems offered. Pay could be more competitve, especially with the increase in medcail premiums.
Office / Work Environment
High heat areas in the summer, poor ventiliation. Broken equipment doesn't often get replaced.
Extreme amount of restirctions on taking vacation. The supervisors will tell you that this is a family place, but when you need something, they tell you "the needs of the Facililty come first." They care very little about family and life needs of their employees, which is too bad because the needs of their staff are also needs of the facility
Unless you do something stupid, or you do something you weren't trained to do, you should be ok/
Inclusive / Diverse
Supervisors do not support new and invotive ideas.
