Company Culture is: It's my way or the highway. The energy in the office is cold and alienated.
Support from management
Management hates you. They don't care about your problems.
Plenty of backstabbing, drama, and running someone over with the bus. There is no teamwork, just CYA and deception.
Freedom to work independently
Yes, please work independently. No one cares what you do, it's easy to fly under the radar, and do what you want.
Everyone wants something, but no one wants to talk about it. The idea of a "logical" conversation is a joke.
They don't want you aiming for more than they hired you for. They'd rather pay 100 people at minimum wage than to encourage movement through the company based upon your work ethics, experience, and personal drive.
Overall compensation for your work
They'll pay you the least amount of money and expect you to do the work of 10 people.
In a state of emergency shut down because of a snow storm, they still expect you to make the drive to sit in an office.
The image is a facade compared to being an actual employer.
Do not believe for a moment that your job is safe here. It is not, unless you have blackmail on someone in the C-Level offices
No. A monkey can do the job in any department.
Suggestions for improvement
- Suggestions for improvement are to get rid of all the C-Levels who have worked for the company over 10+ years. They prohibit moving the company into the 21st century regarding policies, processes, and procedures.
What I like about the company
What I dislike about the company
Everything. Coworkers are mundane and cynical because the office drains you the second you walk in.
