Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
So many things, as it is a great Company to work for. Learned many new things, worked with great colleagues and for great clients! Definitely recommend the Company as such.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Direct manager decides everything and could easily block staff´s development, not giving nice reviews and easily stopping internal applications.
HR Germany just state "Talk to your Line Manager" and never interfere.
Well, a questionnaire is sent to the employee, asking for the reasons to leave, when the employee already terminates their contract to go elsewhere.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
All decisions depend on one person only, the direct manager, with unlimited, unrestricted power to act, as HR Germany just state: " Talk to your Line Manager".
For me, employees leave not the Company itself, as it is a very good Company to work for, but a direct manager who is not treating them well.
Kommunikation
Double standards with salaries, promotions, bonus, career development and internal applications. No transparency.
Work-Life-Balance
Local work is ok. Global team- many calls after 6 pm.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Demostrations of power ("I am your line manager", with an imperative tone). Double standards with promotions, hiring new staff, bonus, performance evaluation. Finger pointing, blaming. Dividing the team into favourites and non-favourites.
Blocking employees development, also by stopping their internal applications.
As a result, I saw many employees leave.
Some managed to escape to other departments somehow.
Gleichberechtigung
Nepotismus pure.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Good, but nothing for the home office expenses. 2,5 hours weekly overtime are not paid, so they are a present for the company. They are not compensated.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Everything depends on one person only- direct manager. Employees with less experience often receive better salaries and higher positions and grades- if the direct manager wishes so.
HR does not control this.
Recuiters definitely prefer external candidates (maybe because of their own goals to hire external candidates), often internal candidates are ignored, laughed at and blocked internally directly, no chance being given.
Often, the only choice left is to leave the Company- luckily, the competition is actively recruiting.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Everything depends on one person only- direct manager. Employees with less experience often receive better salaries and higher positions and grades- if the direct manager wishes so. HR does not control this. Recruiters definitely prefer external candidates, often internal candidates are ignored, treated with no respect and stopped. So the only choice left is to leave the Company- luckily, the competition is actively recruiting.
I saw many good colleagues leave, not because of the great Company they work for, but because the direct manager never gave them a chance to develop inside a team and even stopped their internal applications.
