Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

nothing

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

everything

Verbesserungsvorschläge

not my job to give advices

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Flat atmosphere, nothing new for those approaching this hotel with prior experience. The hotel, compared with the other 5 Star hotels in S.M. seems to be of a lower level and category. maybe 4 Stars.

Kommunikation

HR never available to talk to us except for trivial things. When serious issues occurred we were dispatched directly by the GM who was not up to the task at all. Never responded to any of the emails sent during the season.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The team was perfect, we always helped each other and stood strong against the general situation inside the hotel and against some disrespectful heads department.

Work-Life-Balance

Shifts were properly regulated, extra hours, especially in the high season, were many, and were not paid.
In the low season several days off were provided for the purpose of zeroing out the extra hours previously done.
It would seem a good thing to have three to four days off in a week, but this management penalizes the quality of service for those colleagues who are forced to work shifts alone despite a large amount of work.
Lot of pressure on the backs of those who, doing their best, could not clear overtime hours. GM constantly on their backs, sending them home despite so many people in the Hotel.
For example, 3 people on bar duty with 3/4 sent home and full bar to serve.
How comes?

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Everything was taken personally despite the fact that what was being shown was understanding and listening (fake) and despite the fact that the advice not to take things personally is the first advice one gets when undertaking a job that involves contact with the public.
In words it was heaven, we were asked to offer our opinion on anything we felt could be improved in the hotel, only to be NEVER listened to.
At worst, when we contradicted management we were cut and sent home as happened to some colleagues during the season. Crazy!

Interessante Aufgaben

Outside of my job duties, nothing was inspiring here. The days were extremely basic and no one was able to involve and show any new aspect that I hadn't already known in the past.

Gleichberechtigung

Fimale same then male head dep.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Historical employees DO NOT hold senior positions.
The historical department heads left the structure when the new management took over. All the current department heads have been with the company for a few years.
Some department heads were lost during the season

Arbeitsbedingungen

ok

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Ideally yes, except then send a private jet from St. Moritz to London to recover the dog of who knows who left behind in England.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Lower salary than all other 5-star hotels in St. Moritz. Benefits, what benefits?

Image

Absolutely not, the air in the hotel was highly toxic and EVERYONE on a daily basis, ALWAYS had something to complain about. The time to change in the locker room became a psychotherapeutic session in reverse. Incredible accumulation of stress.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

They haven't spent a minute of their time engaging their staff to imagine a career in their company. All they are interested in is money. Employees are numbers. They don't know how to take care of it. They expect to have great results from a staff to whom they have not been able to provide the appropriate training for the situation.
