Unfair pay between the different coworkers. They started using a goal system and it doesn't matter if you easily finish all the things set as your goals, in the end it only matters what upper management thinks about u, if you deserve the promotion or not. You can finish all your goals 3 years in a row and get nothing back from it
Start giving people a real path to get promoted. Stop promoting people for kissing the right behinds.

Please, finally get your communication under control. When changes like the current re-org are made, explain them so that you bring people on board. Sadly, the current feeling is that a select few individuals make decisions at their own discretion, and even middle management neither understands nor approves of these decisions. Those in middle management, however, are forced to play along and communicate changes they don't believe in themselves — which is deeply bizarre and almost painful to witness.
On paper Dynatrace has rules for promotion. Employee has to do x, y, z to get promoted. However reality is different.
Apparently this rule doesn't apply to employees who have managers with good rapport with upper management. They can get promoted whenever for whatever reasons.
I get that there are exceptions. But I have seen exceptions are used totally unfair. Why does one employee has to submit thesis and another one doesn't have to?

Within teams, things are mostly good - across teams, rather mediocre. The communication from leadership toward employees, however, is highly unsatisfactory. You rarely sense an honest and authentic attitude from management toward its staff. Furthermore, the credibility of what is said suffers greatly when you look at the actions that are actually taken. The whole thing is at times very inconsistent and riddled with a sense of arbitrariness that leaves you speechless
Only an elite circle is consulted before changes are rolled out at scale. Everything is now decided top-down and even managers don't find out what's in store for them until the very end, when it directly affects them. Communication used to be honest, or at least phrased more honestly, but now it's just clichéd American brainwashing with smiles and everyone lying to each other.

Kann gut sein wenn man einen Vorgesetzten hat, der sich darum kümmert. Wenn nicht nur schwierig. Ab gewissen Levels ist ein Aufstieg nur mehr schwer möglich (Principal und höher). Da das Level aber auch durch das Gehaltsband das Maximalgehalt vorgibt stößt man irgendwann an eine gläserne Decke, die sich rein durch gute Arbeit nicht mehr durchbrechen lässt.
Very unfair standard. It's like a bad lottery, you might get lucky once in a while. However most of the time, it's just rigged.
For some role, there isn't even career progression path after years of having that role in the company.
How is someone supposed to get promoted when they don't even know what is expected of them at higher levels?
There are plenty of people who are not getting promoted, when they deserve a promotion. Promotions are promised and delayed, while those who are in the sphere of influence of certain people get promoted often and regularly. There should be a board that makes sure promotions are fair, but that is just to gatekeep promotions.
Got worse and worse over the year. At the moment, all travel is canceled (for 'normal' employees), and nearly all visits to conferences were canceled.
It's not a problem to dedicate some hours per week to further education (innovation friday)
