What I dislike about the employer
The company is in a difficult financial situation, and this is becoming increasingly visible. No bonuses have been paid for the past two years, and current salary levels are not competitive for the market. High turnover: multiple senior leaders, including the CCO, have left recently, and more exits are expected. The leadership team lacks both relevant experience and a proven track record. Many strategic decisions appear disconnected from reality. Employee morale is low, and workloads are high due to constant departures and unclear priorities. Communication from management is vague and reactive, with limited transparency about the company’s direction.
Suggestions for improvement
Be honest with your employees. Acknowledge the company’s financial challenges and stop pretending everything is under control. Prioritize rebuilding trust by involving experienced leaders and making the well-being of your people a real priority. Without a major shift in culture and governance, the downward trend will continue.

Am besten alle Kollegen kündigen die eine Buschfunk Atmosphäre schaffen anstatt zu arbeiten, und Vorgesetzte die nur Angstmachen ebenfalls und vllt noch schikanieren. Somit kommt man eher ans Ziel der Firma. Team= Together everyone achieves more, falls keiner weiss was dies bedeutet. Aber hier werden eher Betriebsfeier gehalten. Denke man ist einem wirklich nicht bewusst was Team bedeutet. Old school.

Ich mochte die älteren Kollegen da diese einfach viel netter waren, als die meisten jüngeren Kollegen.

Vorgesetztenverhalten empfand ich nicht als sehr vorbildlich. Viele wechseln ja auch nicht umsonst aus dieser Firma. Denn hätten Vorgesetzte ein gutes Klima erschaffen würden nicht viele wechseln. Ich nenne dies eine hohe Fluktuation. Es gibt ja mehrere Vorgesetzte, manche davon sind wirklich toll. Aber die meisten sollten nicht Vorgesetzte sein.
Working conditions
tolle screens, Tische und Getränke und Snacks Gratis- das einzig tolle hier in dieser Firma. Am besten konnte man nur essen um das negative auszuschalten. Am besten arbeitet man als Freelancer, dann braucht man mit den meisten Kollegen keinen Kontakt pflegen.

Kommuniziert wird wirklich alles, jedes einzelne Detail über jeden und über die Arbeit.
Equality
Eine Frau ist mit in der Geschäftsleitung aber das wars auch schon. Mehr männliche haben eher das sagen hier bei Arcondis.

Overall good reputation in the life sciences industry. The old image was "old" and traditional but it has been transformed this year, the new website and corporate identity was launched last week, it's excellent.

excellent. you can work from wherever makes sense, office, client site or work from home. weekends are my own time and no expectation to be "on" all the time.

there is a training budget for each service line. trainings are approved on an ad-hoc and as needed basis.

not the highest paid in the industry but that's more than offset by the great colleagues, work environment, challenging projects, company bonus model and the authentic mission "we make healthcare better"

very good. lots of company funded social events, e.g. after work drinks, summer party, NY party etc. very easy to get to know everyone, good sense of trust and friendship.

older colleagues are very well respected and appreciated. the annual vacation for employees 50 and over has just been increased from 25 to 30 days.

flat hierarchy, good access to the senior management who are typically available and happy to answer any and all questions.

Excellent. Nice office, free drinks and snacks, good equipment and infrastructure. Good support from the corporate functions e.g. HR, IT support etc

At the beginning of the year the communication did not keep pace with the change. But it's way better now, regular updates, easy access to senior management, town halls, very easy to get whichever info you need.

everybody is treated equally and fairly, promotion is based on merit and performance

Schon oft erwähnt hier aber die Stimmung ist unterirdisch. Es wird starke Druck ausgeübt um höhere Chargeability zu erreichen. Dass die Senior Managers selber aber nicht auslastbar sind ist anscheinend kein Problem.

Gehalt liegt deutlich unter Marktdurchschnitt. Im Bewerbungsprozess wird mit zusätzliche Bonus gelockt, ist sehr Account-spezifisch wie hoch diese am Ende ausfällt. Rechne mit nichts, dann kann man nur positiv überrascht werden.
Equality
Schwach, es gibt keine Gleichbehandlung von Frauen/Männern was Salär angeht und ältere Kollegen sind zu teuer, und damit ungern gesehen.

Albeit having issues in the past to connect individuals on both a personal and professional level, the recent influx of fresh faces has deeply impacted the overall work culture and atmosphere for the better. Albeit having significantly improved over the last year, we are still working towards expanding our global presence and truly establishing ourselves as a force in the consulting world. I feel that recent developments within the company are some of the building blocks to realizing our long-term goals.

Work is certainly a priority in my life, but my private life and freedoms are a great deal more critical. I rely on flexibility to be able to accomplish my goals, and Arcondis allows me to have that. I'm not forced to bypass private appointments on account of my work schedule; something I consider to be an invaluable component of my position.

As noted earlier in this review, my role is somehow "ceiling-less". I feel the aforementioned developments within the company will benefit my future very positively and I'm excited by the idea of being influential in upcoming changes. On the whole, I feel Arcondis offers its employees endless opportunities to grow, mentor, learn, and/or teach. There is always room to improve, and I feel Arcondis sees that.

I feel that I am properly compensated for my contribution and value our quarterly incentives model, which rewards employees for their contributions throughout the year.

Our social and environmental presence has been a recent topic of discussion, and I am hopeful to see an even greater contribution to our community in the future.
Collegiality
Like any company in transition (especially one that spans borders), cohesion can be something of a challenge. That said, I have witnessed a great deal more effort to treat Arcondis as one united entity, as opposed to "us vs. them". Speaking solely from my own perspective, I understand my role to be a part of a bigger picture; one that relies on collaboration and teamwork to bring ideas to life. I need my coworkers just as much as they need me, and I have found a great deal of success on account of my capacity to rely on others.

Arcondis operates on the basis of positive contribution. Everyone is given the opportunity to succeed and bring value, regardless of age.
Leadership behavior
I might be a "little fish" in the grander scheme of things, but I can't tell you how many times my superiors have ensured that I am aware that their jobs wouldn't be possible without my contribution. It's very much appreciated.
Working conditions
I am provided with all of the materials I require to complete my job effectively. Our actual infrastructure is currently a bit lackluster, but this issue is currently under review.
Communication
To parrot my previous statement, communication was something of an issue in the past and for some, continues to be something of a sore spot. However, new management has widely acknowledged this issue as an area that requires improvement and is actively working towards a future that prioritizes transparency. Speaking solely from my personal experiences, I have always been communicated with re: areas of concern, etc in a professional and constructive manner that allows me to learn and grow.
Equality
We're getting there...leadership is certainly aware of the ratio to men and women on the team, but it's a work in progress. I trust that this issue will continue to improve with time.
Interesting tasks
A big part of my job to dream up ideas to bring happiness to our team. For this reason, my job is a bit "ceiling-less"; there is no limit to the many fun things that have been (or may/will be) assigned to me :)

Toxicity and negativity. Measures and decisions that negatively impact employees are not communicated openly.
Suggestions for improvement
Throw out bad apples. Start listening to feedback instead of sugarcoating / holding back information.
Working atmosphere
Negative. Lots of mistrust and fear going around. People that adhere to and promote the views of the management will get promoted. Criticism is met with strong opposition.

Fact: all interesting extras that used to differentiate arcondis from others are gone.

Fact: communication has been the weakest (but most important!) point since leadership change and the 'transformation' started. Anything that would not go down well with employees was forced through and presented after final decision was made. Even though feedback was requested, none of the decisions were altered/reversed.
