Overall Work Experience: What to Expect
Arbeitsatmosphäre
It's work. Office days can sometimes get quite noisy, with people playing with toys or listening to music on speakers.

Backed by SUISA and SESAC, Mint Digital Services AG holds a strong position in digital services market, specializing in music rights administration and digital licensing. While not as prominent as general marketing agencies, it occupies a unique position.
Customer reviews praise the company’s reliability, and understanding of client needs, though some note room for improvement in customer support and user experience.
Work-Life-Balance
You can work remote, Paperwork/forms required. You must stay in the declared location (no digital nomad lifestyle). Office Attendance is mandatory, 2 days a week, optional home office 3 days a week. The days are not flexible and chosen by management. So this is a hybrid model, but not fully remote.
While the working hours are flexible, employees are often expected to work overtime, also due to inefficiencies in certain processes.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
No further educational programs are offered, with only German language courses available for expats in Switzerland. Paid training and education are exclusively provided to management.
Gehalt/Benefits
They pay rather lower salaries, through what I have heard.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Can't say
Kollegenzusammenhalt
The people working there are welcoming and friendly. They also organize gifts for colleagues celebrating special occasions, such as having a baby.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Can't say, most employees seem to be in a similar age group.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
As mentioned, communication from management is often unsatisfactory. Each team has a head of department, and regular 1:1 meetings are held. These can be helpful at times, but occasionally feel a bit forced or perfunctory. Generally there will be a lot of meetings at times.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The office can be quite noisy since everyone now works in a single open space that also includes the break area, such as the coffee maker and tea kettle. There is a general lack of organization, and many tasks are still handled manually.
Kommunikation
Communication from management is often unclear and inconsistent, with multiple versions of the same information circulating. Important updates are sometimes spread through rumors rather than official channels. For example, when the company’s largest client was reportedly planning to terminate their contracts, management addressed the issue in a meeting but dismissed concerns with a vague reassurance from the CEO: 'Don’t worry, we can find clients to make up for the loss.'
Additionally, transparency around the company’s sales efforts is lacking. No one had seen the sales presentation beforehand, and interested employees were invited to a meeting where the sales pitch was presented via PowerPoint. Notably, the presentation included a false claim that the company had over 100 employees, when in reality, Mint had no more than 50. The presentation itself was poorly put together, raising serious questions among employees.
Gleichberechtigung
While I didn’t observe significant differences in how male and female employees are treated, there is a clear lack of gender diversity within the company. Additionally, it is evident that employees based in South Africa do not receive the same level of treatment or recognition as their counterparts in Switzerland.
Interessante Aufgaben
Overall, the work is somewhat interesting, but more often complicated than engaging, and at times very manual and time-consuming.
