Recently joined Gropyus – exciting times ahead!

A unique, vertically integrated, and ambitious construction and technology company. There are many elements of Gropyus that I believe will be a success. Of course, we are in the infancy but I support the vision and direction that is being discussed. I enjoy learning from the other business functions via the Monday presentations, and I have welcomed the setting of company values. Overall I am looking forward to work this year in 2021 and contributing as best as possible.

It’s too early in my Gropyus career to comment on this. We are all supporting one another to move Gropyus forward.

I would be very interested in the ability to work from home once the pandemic has receded. Given the international basis of the offices (meetings being online don’t necessarily require us to be in the office). Offices are becoming places for certain collaborations and some inter-colleague interaction, but for actually performing tasks this can be done at home just as easily as in the office. Given I am an international employee, ideally this would allow me the opportunity to see my family whilst not taking annual leave.
Inclusion in contract the expensing of professional institution subscription. Given we are providing our expertise and registration in a particular field of the construction, it is common for employers to permit the expensing of such a subscription.
For work / life balance – simply announce the office is closed between Christmas and New Year for a few extra days of “Free annual leave”.
In the future, some consideration of specific R&D time that would allow employees to push the limits of expertise and use resources to test and expand Gropyus knowledge.
