There are relatively many senior people at Oracle; mainly, I guess, because Oracle is way too uncool for young people.

Office is furnished in a stone-age manner and has a lousy atmosphere; infrastructure is inefficient and not exactly modern; poor connections with public transport.

If you negotiate well at the start, the fixed salary is OK. But don't expect any salary increases after that. Raises are as good as impossible. Very few people manage to get a commission. On a positive note, Oracle Switzerland has a very good employee pension plan.

Many customers absolutely despise Oracle. And if they can, they would prefer to free themselves from the clutches of the red octopus as quickly as possible.
