A lot of responsibilities, potential to learn a lot, demanding internship because interns replace several employees.

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Flexi-time working hours, in theory home-office possibilities, interns are given a lot of responsibilities and challenging tasks to solve

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

It is highly noticeable that the company had to cut down employees. More investments into employee skills training is needed. Too much is outsourced (departement to handle bills ) and therefore problems take sometimes very long to be solved

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Employees receive a lot of pressure to meet targets. Colleagues are generally very polite and friendly towards each other (Swiss working environment). Too many tasks/services are taken for granted after a while (when you start working even at weekends and night (as intern), they will expect you to continue this manner, even in (personal) rough times

Kommunikation

Enough meetings to communicate and track each others' successes and failures. Sometimes

Kollegenzusammenhalt

OK..Depends probably on the departement.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Generally very flat hierachy. Often friendship-like relationships with bosses.Proper management skills were lacking because manager was always extremely overworked, due to improper time management and the inability to reject requests by colleagues that were not of his concern.

Interessante Aufgaben

Very diverse set of tasks to solve because interns often received the same tasks as general employees.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Unilever global as a company is a leader in sustainability matters but Unilever Switzerland employees are not that passionate or even informed about Unilever global's efforts, which is disappointing. I applied to Unilever because Unilever global is highly engaged in sustainability matters. Unilever CH employees do not take sustainability matters so seriously (find it rather impedes daily work tasks)

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Unilever CH pays the breadline (after tax) for interns, which is ok but not good for Swiss standards.

Well known employer

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Several online programmes for self development. Interns did not enjoy benefits of personal development courses (such as needed language course)
