Solid, interesting, mostly fun place to work

Been working here since several years, seen some ups and downs, but it has always been a solid, predictable and mostly fun place to work.
Sure there are weaknesses, like in any other place.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The office building really isn't something to brag with.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Diverse workingplace with co-workers from literally around the world. Casual atmosphere.
Kommunikation
Good and frequent professional exchange due to agile methodes (Scrum and SAFe) in most technical departments.
Many initiatives from management to update employees on a regular basis (monthly all hands "company coffee", anonymous Q&As, "Meet your board member" sessions, newsletters...)
Seriously can't comprehend the critisism of some reviewers here.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Next to the attractive aviation business, this has always been the strong suit of ADBSG Graz. And we've managed to maintain the good spirit through the years of home-office during the pandemic.
Work-Life-Balance
Barely any all-in contracts, so all extra work is compensated one or the other way. Flex-time with fairly liberal core-times.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Due to a large merger the local and top management abroad changed rather often in recent years, so naturally there was friction. Since 2022 Graz has a dedicated, mostly independent local management which is eager to sort out shortcomings from the past. Too early for 5 stars, but the right direction.
Interessante Aufgaben
Visit Air Traffic Control Towers, climb on radar towers, travel the world... or write code that makes air travel safer and more environmentally friendly. Definitely the most interesting job in my carreer.
Gleichberechtigung
Diverse and foreign people in all levels incl. management. Don't think there's any disadvantage due to origin, gender or belief.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Honestly, there aren't many, but no doubt we'd warmly welcome every experienced applicant.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Outdated equipment is slowly but steadily upgraded.
Office building is mediocre. Two days of home-office also past pandemic should compensate a little.
Good location in Graz though with good tram connection and enough parking space.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Barely any explicit strive pro environment. Sponsored public transport tickets were put on hold, understandably, due to the pandemic.
Social measures slowly gain momentum due to reinforced HR department. Good support for foreign applicants.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Free gym ("Twins" just across the street), free coffee, food vouchers. And a great vending machine with softdrinks from the legendary Graz based "Jodel Getränkemarkt".

Naturally no normal person knows the company, but "Air Traffic Safety Software" usually sounds impressive :-)
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Continuing education used to be a weak spot. Recent free full access to LinkedIn-learning is a start and at least shows commitment.
Most of the leadership team, incl. former C OO started as software developers and worked their way up.
Formal development path for developers and system engineers is about to be launched.
