Great atmosphere in the office - Even if it is working time, I enjoyed coming and spend the time here
The colleagues like to work at CheckYeti and talking about a great atmosphere with a young team - I can confirm this 100%.
The work and the hours in the office can be intense during high season (also on the weekends), but You still have enough days off and get some compensation for this period.
Great cooperation within the department and always friendly help from the other colleagues
The company has a lot of younger employees and still the handling with older colleagues is on one level and respectful.

Checkyeti's Trustpilot, Google and other reviews speak for themselves.

Great team cohesion, both at work and in our private lives, where we spend a lot of after-work time together.
I haven't had to deal with older colleagues, so I'll give them a neutral mark.
The manager was very correct, giving us a great deal of freedom to learn, even as a trainee, but still regularly reminding us of the objectives we had to achieve.
Good working conditions with the provision of all the devices needed to work. Chairs can be a little old and can cause back pain.
Communication was excellent, since we all work together every day.
completely multi-cultural company no problem on this side
The tasks were interesting and very stimulating for a 3-month internship, but in my opinion, it maybe gets boring over the long term.
Together with what I mentioned in my previous points, I highlight the following: CheckYeti is a company that is about team spirit, hard work, international relationships, growth and exciting projects!
One minus for someone who could be considering CheckYeti as a future place to work... it is a super dynamic place, where you will have to take ownership of tasks from the very beginning... don't know, but some people may not enjoy that... I guess
There is always room for improvement - and as I have experienced myself, CheckYeti is always willing to take feedback and implement changes. I would suggest some changes in the space's set up in the offices (as well as adding some extra perks for employees, for example).
Friendly, team spirit and easy-going environment (but also hardworking and committed to its mission and vision!). CheckYeti offers an international and young team, full of energy and goodwill.
Regular working hours allow for enjoying the after-work hours. Only during high high season periods (with the Tourism high season dates) some shifts finish at 19:00 BUT this means you start working later in the morning, so technically you have half the morning free.
If there is anything I would like to highlight is the large number of opportunities CheckYeti has given me - and many of the colleagues I work with. As a fast-paced and growing business, new tasks and responsibilities are always coming up and are within the reach of anybody who wishes to get involved. Is easy to bring up new project ideas and take fully over and develop them. Just need to check with your leaders and they will give you the drive to do it... and will be with you during the process!
Everybody in these offices is different, with different backgrounds and cultures, roles, responsibilities... but one common thing: team playing and support is always there!
One of the best things at CheckYeti is how easy and approachable managers are, for any need you may have. As a foreigner in Vienna during my first year, I especially appreciated the help I received for my administrative topics in the city.
But, most relevant for me, not only did they help me through that process but always kept (and keep) me motivated to embrace new challenges and take bigger and bigger steps in my career in the company and as a professional.
The offices are spacious (two floors), although, during high season periods, it can be a bit crowded since some more people join the team for those short times (internships, part-time jobs). But there are several separate spaces where you can sit alternatively and work in a quieter environment (outdoor terrace, open space, soundproof phone booths, etc.)
On the other hand, all the needed tools are provided by the company and you have your own space for setting everything to your liking.
This I would say is one of the topics in which CheckYeti has improved a lot in the last year. Since I started some years ago until today, the communication channels have been opened and enlarged immensely. Not only within teams but also in a wider scope of the business goals, plans, and results themselves.
When talking more precisely about communication with leaders, managers, and colleagues, from the beginning this was and is easy and rewarding!
Together with dynamic and fun, "interesting" perfectly describes how CheckYeti is. Sometimes a full bag of wonderings, multi-tasking and changes, but always rewarding and fruitful results.
- Very transparent
- Chaos, but organized, it makes things fun and not boring
- Very, very fun environment
- Clear (and realistic) goals, at all time, need to be communicated
- We need more space for meetings (logistics)
- Resources might be stretched a bit too much (it's normal that it happens, but shouldn't happen too often)
- Hire a bit more diversity
- A tad more environmental-friendly
- Add benefits
I really enjoy working here! The team is friendly, always smiling and ready to help. The management has gotten better and better over time and even started meetings about wellbeing of employees where everyone is anonymously welcomed to give their feedback on what to improve.
You hear a bit of everything, from different people in different teams, but one point that always come back is how everyone is quite friendly - you can also hear some people being open on how they have a lot to do, and sometime under pressure (which is a good thing that people talk about it in the open).
I think this is the hardest point here - we tend to get lost in how much we work. There was a time in the past where it was "the norm" to work a lot, but the company is quickly shifting back to working hours and has now included home office (within reasonable restrictions).
If someone is looking for a change of team or for others tasks, the company will try within reason to find a suitable change, but it's not always possible. Apart from this, everyone is given the chance to have a career growth.
There was never any issue with salaries not being paid. Salary discussions are also relatively easy to schedule, and having a raise is not something impossible. There are currently no clear benefits added, such as paid transport ticket, gym membership, or lunch paid, but I wouldn't be surprised if it changes in the next months!
Even though it's a tech travel company, they're doing the best that they can, but there is a lot of room to do better.
This is probably the best point here - the hiring process is very picky, and the people being hired are not only hired for their talents, but for the type of human being that they are. It ends up in a super friendly and supportive environment.
The hiring is open to anyone, and for what I know, all CVs are being looked at - the atmosphere is young, but everyone is respectful.
Team leads are quite open on goals and how to meet them, even though sometimes some of these goals are unrealistic and can impact how the employees in a team are stressed and feel under pressure. This is a point that was brought up openly, and it has gotten much better over time - always room for improvement!
You get everything that you need to work (work, double screens, a fixed desk), you can also use standing tables (not enough yet!) and couch area to work. If something needs fixing, it's fixed very quickly.
I think this is an area where improvements can still by made. I'd say everyone has the same chance, but diversity could be improved overall.
Something quite nice in this company is that if you have an idea or a project, you're more than welcome to bring it up, and you will be allowed to work on it if it doesn't impact your current work too much. Everyone is very open to new experiences, especially if it helps several teams and not only one individual! What's also nice, is that if you think the team is working on a bad idea or an idea that could be improved, you're also welcome to say so!
