Positive Arbeitsatmosphäre ohne toxische Positivität. Multikulturelles Umfeld. Hochautonome Teams. Kollaborative Atmosphäre. Möglichkeit, an innovativer KI-Technologie zu arbeiten und sie in reale Produkte umzusetzen.
Suggestions for improvement
Karrierewege könnten für manche Mitarbeiter klarer definiert werden. Umstrukturierungen sollten transparenter kommuniziert und strukturierter durchgeführt werden.

Der Sprudelwasserspender hat 2-3 Mal gestreikt, musste normales Wasser in die Flasche füllen. Das war wirklich brutal…
Suggestions for improvement
Essenzuschuss für Duale Studierende bide auf mindestens 25-40€ pro Tag machen,sonst ist es extrem schwer Energie für die Arbeit zu finden…

What I like about the employer
The company culture seems wonderful on the surface—happy employees, laughter, and helpful colleagues.
Perks like offshore parties and surprise bonuses add to the appeal.
Genetec markets itself as an ideal workplace, and some employees may genuinely experience that.
What I dislike about the employer
My experience with my lead was completely opposite to the company’s advertised values.
Unrealistic expectations were set, including becoming an expert in 2 days.
Questions were met with hostility, and I was harshly criticized for tasks without proper instructions.
The toxic behavior led to an unprofessional work environment and, ultimately, my dismissal.
The company does not appear to have adequate systems to protect employees from harassment or abusive management.
Suggestions for improvement
Establish and enforce stronger policies to address workplace bullying and harassment.
Provide training for managers to ensure fair onboarding processes and constructive feedback.
Monitor team dynamics more closely to identify and address toxic leadership behaviors.
Live up to the company’s advertised values by fostering a genuinely supportive environment for all employees.

Offene Diskussionen sind nicht möglich da man sich nie sicher sein kann was jemand als beleidigent sieht und nacher zu HR läuft.
HR unterstützt dieses toxische Verhalten auch was jeweilige Vertrauen zerstört.

Great working environment, a lot flexibility

What I like about the employer
Excellent flexibility in working time and home office. Easy communication with co workers and team leaders.
Suggestions for improvement
Could have more deadlines and 'sprint-like' development. Sometimes the long term goals for the R&D teams seemed very loose.

Great working atmosphere in the team and the office. Some team events are being organized office-wide like football, volleyball or evening drinks.

A lot of home office and work flexibility. On the home office days the office lacks of activity as almost everyone is working remotely on 2/5 weekdays.

- Es wird erwartet unabhängig und selbstständig zu arbeiten, kann sowohl positiv als auch negativ gesehen werden. Wobei ich persönlich dies eher als positiv empfunden habe, denn dadurch hat man die Möglichkeit seine Arbeit selbst zu strukturieren und entwickelt wichtige Zeitmanagementfähigkeiten
- Es könnte eventuell mehr 1on1s mit dem Management geben, wobei durch das Äußern des Feedbacks auch direkt 1on1s zu Stande kamen.
Working atmosphere
Die Arbeitsatmosphäre ist sehr angenehm. Es gibt keine strikten Arbeitszeiten und die Kollegen gehen rücksichtsvoll miteinander um. Das Office sieht schick aus und es gibt viel grün und auch einen Officehund, der hin und wieder die Mitarbeiter besucht.

Das Unternehmen ist meiner Meinung nach in Österreich eher unbekannt, obwohl das Unternehmen der weltweite Marktführer in seiner Branche ist. Innerhalb des Unternehmens hat man das Gefühl, dass die Kollegen sehr gerne bei Genetec arbeiten.
Work-Life Balance
Lässt sich sehr gut miteinander vereinen. Es wird erwartet zum Daily Standup (5-10 minütiges Meeting), das um 10:40 Uhr beginnt. Das heißt man ist sehr flexibel beim Arbeitsbeginn und kann daher ausschlafen, falls man doch etwas länger mit Freunden in einer Bar verbracht hat.
Collegiality
Kollegen halten zusammen. Fragen können ohne faden Beigeschmack gestellt werden und werden ernst genommen. Das Team ist hilfreich, wenn man auf technische Probleme stößt und kann mit der vielfältigen Expertise unterstützen.

Es gibt auch ältere Kollegen im Unternehmen und deren Lebenserfahrung und Expertise werden im Unternehmen sehr geschätzt.
Leadership behavior
Die Geschäftsleitung ist sehr sympathisch, hat eine hohe Expertise, eine offenen Weltanschauung und kann sehr gut mit Menschen umgehen. Mein direkter Übergeordneter hat mir alle Freiheiten gegeben meiner Arbeit nachzugehen. Er macht seine Arbeit auch sehr gut und ist sehr beschäftigt.
Communication
Die Kommunikation ist grundsätzlich gut. Innerhalb des Teams wurden Dinge klar kommuniziert und Erwartungen konkret definiert. Ich persönlich hätte mir vielleicht ein wenig mehr 1on1s gewünscht, aber das kein sonderlich dramatischer Kritikpunkt.
