Before responding in detail, we would like to kindly note that we are not entirely sure whether the question regarding the role of older colleagues in the workplace was interpreted as intended. At Hotel Kitzhof, we are very proud of our long-term employees who have been with us for 20, 30 years or more. They are invaluable members of our team, and we truly rely on their expertise. We remain continually impressed by their loyalty, strong work ethic, and willingness to go the extra mile—not only for their coworkers across all generations but also for our guests.
Regarding the point about investing more in employees and students, we would like to emphasize that we deeply value this experience and commitment as a key part of our success and team spirit. We actively support our employees by offering all committed staff full access to a wide range of further education opportunities, as well as providing guidance and recommendations for programs at various institutes to foster their professional growth.
This commitment is also reflected in our recognition as a "Great Place to Work" and as an "Ausgezeichneter Tiroler Lehrbetrieb", one of the highest distinctions in the region for excellence in training apprentices.
In addition, we already provide a range of benefits related to outdoor and sports activities. Through our staff information board and internal TV, employees are informed daily that they have access to various sports offerings such as fitness training, functional training, HIIT, and yoga etc. Furthermore, staff members are welcome to use our bikes free of charge. Many of your colleagues make regular use of these opportunities, which is why we were somewhat surprised that this was not reflected in your feedback.
Your suggestion about moving from hourly to a fixed monthly salary is a bit confusing. In Austria, it is common to have 14 monthly salaries per year instead of 12, unlike in many other countries. As a hotel operating year-round, all our employees already receive a fixed monthly salary rather than hourly wages. This approach is designed to provide stable income for our team throughout the year.
